KCET 2020: Notification, Important Dates, Eligiblity, Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Pattern
- KCET stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test.
- KCET is conducted by Karnataka Education Authority (KEA)
- It is a state level entrance exam for admissions into various undergraduate courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary etc.., in various Government and Private colleges in Karnataka State.
- As Government of India has directed the state Government that NEET ranking is not mandatory for admission
to Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yoga System courses, Government in their letter No.
HFW 102 PTD 2019 dated 19-03-2019 has directed KEA to conduct CET for admission
to Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yoga System courses.

KCET 2020 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
- Nationality : The candidate should be citizen of India.
- Age : Should have completed 17 Years of age by 31.12.2020
- Qualification : The candidate must have passed the intermediate or 10+2 level with PCM for B.Tech, B.E, Pharmacy and PCB for pharmacy and agriculture allied courses from Board of Intermediate or any recognized institute.
- For admissions into B. Architecture the candidate has to qualify NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) and should be applied for KCET.
KCET EXAM PATTERN:
- Mode of Examination: KCET 2020 will be conducted in Offline mode (OMR Sheet).
- Type of Questions: Multiple type questions will be asked, each question having 4 options
- Language Medium: The exam paper will be in English language. Kannada test only for Horandu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates only in Bangalore.
- Time Duration: There are 4 papers each paper will be given 80 minutes.
- Subjects: The question paper will contain questions from the subjects of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Marks : There will be total of 240 questions.
- Marking Scheme: As per the marking scheme, each of the questions will be of 1 mark. There will be no negative marking for right answers.
