In Telangana B.Sc (Agriculture) course is offered by only Prof. Jayshankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), which is near to Shamshabad. During the undivided Andhra Pradesh this university was named as Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU). But after 2014, the name was changed to Prof Jayshankar Telangana State Agricultural University and Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University is shifted to Andhra Pradesh.
Under Prof Jayshankar Telangana State Agricultural University, there are 6 Government colleges affiliated to PJTSAU which are offering B.Sc (Agriculture) course in Telangana, they are
1) College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
2) Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, Badradri Kothagudem Dist.
3) Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial Dist.
4) Agricultural College, Palem, Nagarkurnool Dist.
5) Agricultural College, Warangal Urban Dist.
6) Agricultural College, Sircilla Dist.
Altogether in the above colleges combined there are 432 Government seats and 75 management seats.
How to get a seat in PJTSAU ?
As there are only 432 Government seats (Convener seats) they are filled by
- TS EAMCET – 335
- AIEEA (ICAR) – 47
- AGRICET (For Agri Diploma Students) – 47
- AEO Department – 12
As the number of seats are very less hence the candidate has to get a very low rank to secure the seat. Previous year cut off is mentioned below.
There are 75 management seats as well which are also filled as per the merit basis but the 4 years fees for each management seat is 14 lakh rupees.

There are NO Private colleges affiliated to PJTSAU. There are No private colleges or Universities in Telangana which are having permissions to run B.Sc (Agriculture) course. Still there are a few colleges running the course illegally, the students from those institutes will not be eligible for any Government or Private job as that certificate is not valid.
